Andy Cross Personal Trainer - Cross PT
I’m a fully qualified Personal Trainer, Sports Conditioning Coach and Metabolic Nutrition Consultant. My approach focuses on improving your metabolism and building a plan that fits you — because everyone responds differently to food, stress, sleep and training.

Rather than giving generic programmes, I create a structured training and nutrition package based on your goals, lifestyle and current fitness level. Sessions are designed to build strength, improve conditioning, boost confidence and support long-term results.

Your plan is reviewed weekly during your PT session so we can adjust training loads, progressions and nutrition as needed. We’ll also complete regular 3D body scans to check your composition and track changes over time and ensure you’re reducing body fat while improving overall performance and health.
Andy has worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer in Milton Keynes for the past 14 years, and has run his own private fitness studio since 2013. Over that time, he’s coached a wide range of clients — from people looking to lose body fat, build muscle and improve confidence, young amd elderly to athletes performing at a high level, including professional footballers and TV talent.

Fitness has been a big part of Andy’s life since childhood. He began training in martial arts at the age of 6, moved into bodybuilding in his late teens, and later developed a long-term passion for endurance training and road cycling. This varied background has shaped a coaching style that blends strength, conditioning and practical lifestyle support to help clients achieve real, sustainable results.
Some of Andy’s achievements include:

-
England team for Karate at age 14-16
-
1st in Tang Soo Do British Championships
-
2nd Cat Road Racing Competitively
-
World Record Team Cycle Relay from John O'Groats to Land's End in 43hr 46min & 49s with Team Blanco Enduro.
-
Currently National Champion 2025 in GKR Karate, Instructors Division

Type 1 Diabetes & Heart Condition
Training with Type 1 Diabetes
Andy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 10. Training with diabetes was challenging at first, but over the years he learned how different types of exercise can affect blood glucose — from steady aerobic work to higher-intensity sessions and resistance training. That understanding, alongside his qualifications as a Metabolic Nutrition Consultant, has helped shape a coaching approach that considers the body’s hormones, energy systems and individual responses to training and nutrition.

In August 2025, Andy was also diagnosed with heart failure. He continues to train sensibly and consistently, using exercise as a tool to help keep his heart as strong as possible for as long as possible — and he brings that same practical, measured approach to the clients he coaches.

Andy now supports people with and without diabetes, helping them improve fitness, body composition and long-term health. Many clients with Type 2 diabetes have seen significant improvements in blood sugar control, and some have been able to reduce medication — always in partnership with, and under the guidance of, their medical professionals.
